Rainy days and low clouds prevents us from climbing Weisskugel/Palla Bianca (3738m) as program said.
After a day and an half a day spent in the Weisskugelhutte waiting for better weather conditions, in the third one, sunny but without enough time to try to reach the top and drive back home, we opt to have “a walk” till the front of the Weissseespitz glacier in the Austrian side.
Later, at the hutte, some other alpinists coming back without reach the top said that actual ice conditions (very few snow covering a lot of crevasses) and instable rocks in the final ridge before the top ( conditions similar at the year 2003 for many alpin glaciers ) , made this ascent very improbable from this side.
